Pickleball Open Play at the Livingston Civic Center
Pickleball at the Livingston Civic Center is operated by the Livingston Recreation Department and supported by a dedicated community of players and volunteers. Our goal is to provide an inclusive, welcoming environment that supports movement, health, and wellness for players of all skill levels.
Below you’ll find important information about participation requirements, rates, schedules, and daily play expectations.
Daily Drop-In Rates (Effective January 2, 2026):
- $4.00 – City of Livingston residents
- $5.00 – Non-residents
Payment options:
- Pay daily at check-in, or
- Add credit to your CivicRec account for faster entry
The City of Livingston accepts cash, checks, and all major credit cards.
Please note: credit card payments include a service fee.
Schedule & Play Times
Pickleball is typically offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:00–4:00 PM.
Please note that play times may vary due to:
- After-school programming
- Holidays
- No-school days or full-day youth programs
- Special events or facility needs
Schedule changes will be communicated in advance whenever possible. We appreciate your flexibility as we balance pickleball with other Recreation programs serving the community.
Check-In & Facility Access
All pickleball participants must enter through the Recreation Office doors to check in with staff before play. Doors are located across from McNair Skate Park and up the stairs. If you require special accommodations, please contact the Recreation Office in advance so we can assist with entry through the main lobby. We are happy to work with participants to ensure safe and equitable access to pickleball programming.
- Lobby doors are exit only and will be locked for re-entry
- Please do not prop doors or allow others to bypass the Recreation Office
- Participants may check in as early as 10 minutes before the scheduled program
- Access to the gym begins at the time of the scheduled program
These procedures help ensure fairness, safety, and accurate program use tracking.
Daily Play & Sportsmanship
Pickleball at the Civic Center is built on respect, inclusion, and good sportsmanship. Players are expected to be welcoming, patient, and courteous both on and off the court.
Court assignments:
- Beginner – Stage
- Intermediate – Middle Court
- Advanced – Doors
- Rally scoring to 15
- Paddle rotation will continue and may be adjusted based on attendance
