What we Do

The City Manager is responsible for the implementation of City Commission policies and provides oversight of all departments and operations for the City of Livingston. The City Manager's office is the primary point of contact for the City government on all matters including those involving other cities and other government entities.  Pursuant to State Statute and Municipal Code, the City Manager is tasked with enforcing ordinances and resolutions, carrying out policies established by the Commission, preparing the Commission agenda, and presenting the budget to the Commission for approval and more!

All media inquiries of the City of Livingston, regardless of department, should be directed to the City Manager's Office at (406) 823-6000 or send an email. The City Manager is available for comment and interviews usually within one hour and all attempts are made to meet publication deadlines.

Meet with the Manager

The City Manager is always available to meet community members and enjoys doing so. While drop-in meetings may be possible, appointments are encouraged and may be scheduled by calling (406) 823-6000. Additionally, the City Manager welcomes opportunities to meet community groups and organizations; please contact us to schedule a visit for your group!
