About Us
Livingston Recreation Department is committed to providing youth basketball to children in Park County, Montana for Kindergarten - 6th-grade students. We focus on providing quality basketball opportunities for the elementary-aged children in the community by partnering with Jr. NBA utilizing their instructional curriculum. In addition, we try to provide community opportunities with the Park High School Rangers high school basketball program.

2024 Youth Basketball Program

Livingston Youth Basketball returns to Livingston & Park County for the Winter 2024 as a non-competitive introduction to basketball for boys and girls. 

2024 Game Schedules

PROGRAMS AVAILABLE

Pee Wee Kindergarten Coed Clinics
Saturdays MORNINGS ONLY at Park High RecPlex

Saturdays, February 3 - March 9, 2024: 10:30 - 11:30 am

Pee Wee Basketball Clinic + Weekly Scrimmages vs Opponent

• Week 1 & 2: 30-minute clinic / 10-minute scrimmage
• Week 3 & 4: 20-minute clinic / 20-minute scrimmage
• Week 5 & 6: 15-minute clinic / 25-minute scrimmage

1st  & 2nd Grade Coed

• One practice per week at Winans School Gym (Gardiner/SV practice in local area gyms)
  • Practices begin the week of January 22nd, 2024
• Games on Saturdays at Park High RecPlex
  • February 3 - March 9, 2024

3rd & 4th Grade Girls & Boys Leagues

• One practice per week at Eastside School Gym (Gardiner/SV practice in local area gyms)
  • Practices begin the week of January 22nd, 2024
• Games on Saturdays, Girls at Park High Rec Plex, Boys at Livingston Civic Center
  • Game Dates: February 3 - March 9, 2024

5th & 6th Grade Girls & Boys Leagues

• Two practices per week at Livingston Civic Center (Gardiner/SV practice in local area gyms; will play coed in boys division if not enough to make a girls team)
  • Practices begin the week of January 22nd, 2024
• Games on Saturdays at Livingston Civic Center
  • Game Dates: February 3 - March 9, 2024

JOIN US AS A COACH! Visit our Volunteer Interest Page and we'll connect you to our National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) coaching curriculum and background check. ALL Coaches receive free training and reimbursed registration for the child they are coaching. We will provide an outline of expectations for you before practice beginning.

JOIN US AS A SPONSOR! Our league cannot run successfully and safely without the help of sponsorships. We encourage you and your business to partner with Livingston Recreation Department as either a Youth Basketball Team Sponsor or as a Civic Center Gym Banner Program Sponsor (includes team sponsorship)

Families, coaches, spectators, and players are guests in the Livingston Civic Center and Livingston School District buildings.

Jr. NBA, USA Basketball, and MOJO have partnered to create awesome developmental curriculum
We utilize Jr. NBA Curriculum for our volunteer coaches. The ABCD's of the Jr. NBA are the foundation of the curriculum and define what the Jr. NBA stands for. Each element of the ABCD's of the Jr. NBA is equally important and works with the other components to develop well-rounded basketball players and people.
