Angel Line

Provides transportation services to seniors (over 60), disabled people of all ages, and people who are assisting senior citizens or other persons requiring special care. Angel Line transports for medical appointments, recreation, etc. Monday - Friday 8:00-4:30pm.

Area IV Agency on Aging/ Aging & Disability Resource Center serving Park County

Area IV provides services to seniors over age 60 and adults age 18 and older with a disability. The six-county service area includes Broadwater, Gallatin, Jefferson, Lewis & Clark, Meagher, and Park Counties. Some services include Information, Assistance and Referral to find community resources, Medicare Information/Counseling  providing benefit counseling to Medicare beneficiaries and their families/caregivers. Long-Term Care Ombudsman advocating for residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Options Counseling for Successful Aging  helping clients plan for their long-term care future. Senior Medicare Patrol empowering seniors to prevent healthcare fraud.

Community First Choice/ Personal Assistance Programs

The Community First Choice and Personal Assistance Services Programs through Montana Medicaid, are programs designed to provide long term supportive care in a home setting. Enabling Montana's senior and disabled citizens to remain in their homes. Services are tailored to meet the individual needs of the person, depending on their living situation.

HRDC Homemaker Program

The Homemaker Program is a free service that allows primarily low-income seniors to maintain their independence by providing assistance with daily living such as light housekeeping, running errands, and allowing seniors to remain in their homes for as long as possible.

Montana Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program

Ombudsman help residents in long-term care living facilities and their families and friends understand and exercise the rights they are guaranteed by law.  A trained ombudsman can help with issues like:

  • Resolve problems or complaints from people living in Assisted Living or Long Term Care facilities
  • Provide information to residents about long-term care services
  • Speak on your behalf to agencies to seek remedies to protect residents
  • Help you learn about resident rights and good care practices
  • Advise on starting resident and family councils
  • Advocate for changes to improve your quality of life and care and more!

Montana Medicare State Health and Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP)

When you contact the SHIP office, they will refer you to a local SHIP counselor who can meet with you and offer more information on:

Montana Disabled Veteran Assistance Program (MDV)

The Montana Department of Revenue Disabled Veteran Assistance Program (MDV)  helps disabled veterans or their unmarried surviving spouse by reducing the property tax rate on their home. The veteran must have 100% disability from an injury related to service. The MDV reduction is based on income and marital status.

Montana Elderly Homeowner/Renter Credit program

The Montana Elderly Homeowner/Renter Credit program is a property tax relief program that provides a refundable income tax credit of up to $1,000. Montana homeowners or renters age 62 or older may qualify for this program even if they do not have to file an income tax return if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Montana Veterans Affairs
