Apply for Board/Committee

The City Commission of the City of Livingston has established several advisory boards filled with citizens who advise the City Commission on matters such as establishing priorities, setting policy, settling discrepancies, and planning for the future. The Boards and committee members volunteer their time and expertise for the benefit of the community.

Community service is a rewarding experience. If you are interested in an appointment in an area where your expertise and commitment will make a difference, please review the current description of boards & committees.

To extend the opportunity to serve on volunteer boards and commissions, the City Commission has limited board members to serve on one board.  The Commission has directed boards to give preference to qualified applicants over incumbents who reapply after their second term. When qualified individuals do not apply, the City Commission will entertain the reappointment of incumbents finishing a second or subsequent term of service.

Some boards and committees' membership requirements are more stringent, and specific qualifications must be met as Montana Code prescribes. At a minimum, applicants must be 18 years of age, a resident of the City of Livingston for at least 30 days, a qualified elector, non-felon, and of sound mind.
