The National League of Cities (NLC) Service Line Warranty Program offers affordable protection for homeowners that covers the cost to repair or replace broken, leaking or clogged external water lines, sewer lines, and in-home plumbing and drainage lines in the water line laterals between the publicly owned mainline and the connection on residential private property. City homeowners are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the water line laterals between the publicly owned mainlines and the connection on residential private property, and often do not have the savings or equipment to complete emergency repairs.
