Our Newsletter Has a New Look!!

A new Manager, a new year and now a new look to the newsletter! Change is blowing in the wind these days and we’re happy to announce that the City of Livingston’s newsletter is the next. As the City moves forward with several exciting initiatives, we decided that it’s time to bring our different communication channels together to provide a single source of information for City events, meetings and news.

So, every two weeks we will be using this email newsletter to keep the community informed. Please let us know of information that you’d like to see in the newsletter by giving us feedback. And, if City news isn’t your thing, we understand…please just modify your notification preferences here.

City News

At the February 7, 2023, City Commission meeting, the Commission will be asked to award the contract for the sewer extension project in Green Acres and Montague subdivisions.
We invite the community to join us on Thursday February 9, 2023, at 5:30pm in the Northside Park Fieldhouse (815 North 13th Street) to learn more about the project, meet the contractor and see the proposed construction schedule.
Also at the February 7 meeting, the City Commission will hear the City Manager’s plan for implementing the Growth Policy. The 2021 Growth Policy was the product of a large community effort and serves to guide the future social, physical, environmental, and economic growth and development of the City.  It is intended to provide direction for the City, assist in prioritizing funding decisions, and help set a course of action to help the City thrive. On Tuesday night, the City team will start the implementing the Growth Policy with a discussion on the process and initial work efforts. We hope you can join us, either in-person or remotely!
The City of Livingston proudly announces a new proactive health and wellness initiative designed to prevent illness and injuries to vulnerable residents, reducing the need for emergency hospital visits.

The Livingston City Commission approved a new partnership in December that will begin implementing a new Community Paramedic program later this month to address key health and safety needs across the community. The field of community paramedicine is a growing specialty across the U.S., designed to address health needs in a flexible way that will focus on proactive, preventative approaches to healthcare and mental health, while reducing unnecessary emergency room and 911 ambulance visits, for non-emergency medical services.  This program is the first of its kind in Montana and displays a cutting-edge service model. While we hope you don’t have to use the program, we’re happy it exists!
