URBAN RENEWAL MISSION

It is the mission of the Livingston Urban Renewal Agency (URA) to assist with the revitalization of the Livingston downtown area.

The URA, in partnership with downtown businesses and citizens, adopts, funds and manages projects which:

  • Rehabilitate and redevelop blighted areas.
  • Provide public improvements.
  • Repair or rehabilitate deteriorated or deteriorating structures.
  • Improve infrastructure, facilities and equipment leading to an increase in the health and safety of the downtown district.

The project area is generally defined as the greater Livingston downtown area:

URA GRANT APPLICATION

Applications are due at least two (2) weeks before the URA meeting at which it is to be considered.

By law, priority will be given to programs that:

  • Rehabilitate or redevelop blighted areas.
  • Provide public improvements.
  • Repair or rehabilitate deteriorated or deteriorating structures.
  • Improve infrastructure, facilities and equipment leading to an increase in the health and safety of the downtown district.

Mrs. Pettit owns the "Pickle Barrel" in downtown Livingston.

Laura Bray, Vice Chair

Laura Bray owns "The Frame Garden" in downtown Livingston and currently serves as President of the Livingston Gallery Association.

Adam Stern, Secretary

Mr. Stern currently serves on the City's Transportation Coordinating Committee, the City Planning Board and as President of the Livingston Ice Skating Association.

Mr. Schmidt is Manager of Truex Furniture & Appliance.  He served on the Vision Livingston Board and currently serving on the Mercantile Board.

Ryann Rivard

Ms. Rivard owns RJM Investments.  She has owned previous businesses in Park County and is interested in the development and maintenance of our City to create a safe environment.

The URA meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the City-County Complex located at 414 East Callender Street.
