URBAN RENEWAL MISSION

It is the mission of the Livingston Urban Renewal Agency (URA) to assist with the revitalization of the Livingston downtown area.

The URA, in partnership with downtown businesses and citizens, adopts, funds and manages projects which:

  • Rehabilitate and redevelop blighted areas.
  • Provide public improvements.
  • Repair or rehabilitate deteriorated or deteriorating structures.
  • Improve infrastructure, facilities and equipment leading to an increase in the health and safety of the downtown district.

The project area is generally defined as the greater Livingston downtown area:

URA GRANT APPLICATION

Applications are due at least two (2) weeks before the URA meeting at which it is to be considered.

By law, priority will be given to programs that:

  • Rehabilitate or redevelop blighted areas.
  • Provide public improvements.
  • Repair or rehabilitate deteriorated or deteriorating structures.
  • Improve infrastructure, facilities and equipment leading to an increase in the health and safety of the downtown district.

Karla Pettit, Chair

Mrs. Pettit owns the "Pickle Barrel" in downtown Livingston.

Bob Ebinger

Mr. Ebinger is on the Historic Preservation Committee and was a past City Commissioner from 2002-2006.  Also Mr. Ebinger was a State Representative from 2006-2010.

Ryann Rivard

Ms. Rivard owns RJM Investments.  She has owned previous businesses in Park County and is interested in the development and maintenance of our City to create a safe environment.

Johanna DeVries, Secretary

Ms. DeVries is a IB Biology assistant course examiner.  She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture with an Animal Science major.  She also has a Master of Science Degree in Agricultural Extension Education from Michigan State University.

Kyra Ames

Ms. Ames is a Freelance Editorial/Fine Art Photographer.  She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Photography.  She is very much interested in Livingston's history and future growth.

The URA meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the American Federal Bank at 123 South Main Street, Livingston, Montana.
