A quick update from your Library!

Facts about your Livingston-Park County Public Library:
•The Library is staffed by 3 full-time employees, 9 part-time employees, and a group of dedicated volunteers!
•With so many part-time staff persons, it is amazing the Library is open 51 hours per week!
•With such a small staff, everyone has to multitask. Ten of the twelve paid employees are regular workers at the front desk.
•During the Summer Reading Program, the Library often hires temporary summer interns to assist. These intern positions, when available, are completely funded by donations from the Yellowstone Club (a chapter of the Greater Federation of Women's Clubs) and the Friends of the Library.
Library Events!
It's National Library Week! We'd love to have you celebrate with us! Today, April 10th, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., we are holding an Open House. There will be refreshments, guided tours of the Library, and a technology petting zoo! Come get hands-on practice with iPads, Kindles, Nooks, smart phones, and more! After the Open House, at 6:30 p.m. we will have an “Introduction to Laptops” computer class. Sign up is required in advance. On Friday April 13th, there are more great events!
At 2:00 p.m. we have 30 minutes of Music at the Library with Park High School's Concert Choir. Then from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., learn job search strategies in this tough economy from Skip Shiver from Job Service.
If you enjoy music, there's even more! Sunday April 22nd at 3:00 p.m., Flutes and Friends from Bozeman will hold a concert at the Library. It's free of charge, sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Our special children's programs this month include After School Club, Wednesday April 18th from 2:45 - 4:45 p.m., with “Earth Day” as the focus. Then on Thursday, April 26th at 6:00 p.m., join us for Family Read Night. It's “Modern Art” from Museum of the Rockies.
Please note that on Friday April 27th, the Library will be closed for staff training. We'll be back on Saturday the 28th, so stop in then!
