The City of Livingston seeks public comment for TSEP Grant program application, for funds to connect the Livingston Civic Center to city sewer system.

The City of Livingston has applied for grant funding through the TSEP program to connect the existing Civic Center and surrounding parks areas to the City Sewer System.

The Civic Center and surrounding park areas are currently served by an aged septic system or vault/pit seasonal toilet facilities. These systems are beyond useful life and may be at risk of contaminating in the event of a line break, high water, flooding or other similar events. An event such as this may also endanger the Yellowstone River.

The Livingston City Commission has authorized matching funds and approved the application to TSEP for this project. The goal of the project is to protect the environmental areas near the Civic Center and parks which are in proximity to the Yellowstone River. Connection to the sewer system provides additional layers of protection to our vital natural resources.

There is a public hearing scheduled for this evening's City Commission meeting in order to take comment via Zoom. We also invite public comment via email to: hr@livingstonmontana.org.

Thank you!
