Exciting times for our little community as we move forward with the City's Growth Policy update!
We're excited to announce that the work on updating the City's Growth Policy will begin October 15th.
On October 1, 2019, the Livingston City Commission authorized our City Manager Michael Kardoes, to sign the Professional Services Agreement with Burton Planning Services, of Westerville Ohio.
Burton Planning was the ranked the most qualified and has been commissioned to provide a comprehensive update to our Growth Policy. The update will reflect the current needs and desires of our community, and will provide meaningful guidance to the City for future land use decisions as we continue to grow.
Burton has provided their anticipated project timeline which is process is divided into 5 major tasks, and will take place over a 12-month time period.
1. Project Initiation and Management
2. Needs Assessment
3. Growth Policy Update
4. Growth Policy Review & Adoption
5. Public Involvement
Burton's plan to engage our community consists of mailers with utility bills, a webpage with comment function, social media posts, newspaper articles, public meeting announcements, digital survey tools, and representation at community events. We look forward to your participation!
