KIDS FISHING DERBY
July is a special time in Livingston. The Livingston Roundup rodeo and parade, boat float and Summerfest to name a few. But for hundreds of children the highlight is the annual Kids fishing derby held at the Lagoon near Sacajawea Park. We coordinate with area hatcheries to introduce over 1,500 rainbow and brown trout into the lagoon. The sizes of fish vary from under 2 ounces to over 4 pounds. Every contestant receives a prize upon registration and hundreds of dollars worth of prizes are given away in a drawing. Special prizes are given to the 4 largest fish. All prizes are generously donated by local merchants. Derby registration begins at 8:00 am with the derby beginning at 9:00 and ending at 11:00.
