City of Livingston Internship

The City of Livingston has established a successful internship program that is open to students in high school, undergraduate, or graduate degree programs.  Although internships typically coincide with an academic semester, or summer break, interested individuals are encouraged to apply at any time.  Interns work in the Office of the City Manager, and are assigned a mix of routine duties and special projects – depending on individual skill strengths.  It is our intention to make the internship a quality, professional, experience.  Rather than assigning mounds of clerical tasks, the Intern is expected to perform as a member of the senior Leadership Team.  In addition, a strong effort is made to expose an Intern to every facet of Livingston’s municipal operations; providing the fullest opportunity to preview a career in local government.
