The Meece's stay active hiking, camping, and exploring the outdoors, as well as in their church. Although a 'retired' second baseman, Ed has embraced the role of Soccer Coach with the Livingston Youth Soccer Association, in addition to coaching youth basketball for the Livingston Recreation Department. Ed is also an avid runner, participating in local 5 & 10k races. He hopes to be ready to compete in the "2011 Missoula 1/2 Marathon".

The Meece's are deeply involved in the establishment of Landon's Lookout, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a quality environment for teenagers to study, develop their personal interests, and socialize.
