CHARGES
WATER: Minimum Charge $12.01 per month for up to 1000 gallons usage; after that $10.79 base charge plus $2.41 per 1000 gallons. (New rate effective July 1, 2012)
Your water is metered and read electronically the first of each month.
SEWER: Minimum Charge $17.10 per month for up to 1000 gallons usage; after that $14.00 base charge plus $5.69 per 1000 gallons. (New rate effective July 1, 2012).
Your sewer is charged out based on the average amount of water used January, February and March of each year.
At the April 3, 2012 City Commission meeting, the Commission approved a 2% garbage increase for residential and commercial. GARBAGE is $16.89 per month for residential use. Residents can request extra cans for an additional $16.89 per month. Business refuse is charged by weight. There is a base charge of $1.33 and then a charge of $3.46 per 40 lbs per pickup for commercial.
OFFICE HOURS
The Livingston Utility Office is open from 7:00 a.m. until noon and from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The office is locked during the lunch hour but customers are able to use the drop box by the front door and use the drive up. There is also someone available to answer phone calls. We are open Monday through Friday.
You can pay your utility bill at our office at 330 Bennett Street, at our drop box at Albertson's or at our drop box at the City offices at 414 East Callender. You can pay with cash, check or credit card. We accept Mastercard and Visa. We are required to add a 2.5% transaction fee for a credit card payment. Call our office for more information 222-1142.
