"On June 14, 2011, members of the Livingston Elks Lodge # 246 held a special Flag Day ceremony at Livingston-Park County City County Complex. Along with an oral history of the American flag, members presented replica flags representing different periods of American history. Thanks to Daren Hendrickson and Rudy Gregory for reminding us of the special history and principles behind our country's greatest symbol."

Livingston City Commission meetings now available through LIVE STREAM!

The May 17th meeting of the Livingston City Commission was 'broadcast', for the first time, via 'live internet streaming' through the city's web site (and a built-in link to UStream).  This opportunity for increased citizen access to the City Commission meetings was developed by Mr. Alex Scaaf, and will hopefully become a routine feature of future meetings.  To access the streaming video, go to the 'City Commission' tab on the city's web site - and click on 'Livingston Montana TV'.  You may be asked to download some viewing software, depending on the configuration of your computer.

If you are interested in being trained, to assist with the video production of City Commission meetings, you should contact the Office of the City Manager at citymanager@livingstonmontana.org; or, (406) 823-6000.

City Manager Receives 'Patriot Employer' Award from Montana National Guard & US Department of Defense

EdMTNGaward

On August 24th, the Montana National Guard and US Department of Defense recognized Livingston City Manager, Ed Meece, with their 'Patriot Employer' award. Master Sergeant Richard Wood (retired Fire Captain, City of Livingston) nominated Meece for the award, based on his support of City of Livingston employees that serve in the National Guard and Army Reserve. Master Sergeant Wood recently completed his second overseas deployment with the Montana National Guard.

"This is a big honor for me, and the entire Administration at the City of Livingston. However, our efforts are small in comparison to the personal sacrifices made by our military service personnel - they are the ones that deserve the recognition and support of a grateful community (and nation)," commented Meece.
