2019 City of Livingston Municipal Election Information


  • Two (2) positions open for the City of Livingston City Commission 
  • A City Commissioner serves a term of 4 years
  • The current salary for a City Commissioner is $4,320.00 a year
The qualifications for the position of a City Commissioner are set by law: Article IV, Section 2 of the MT State Constitution, MCA Sections 13-1-111, 7-4-4104, and Section 2-40 of the Livingston Municipal Code. Qualifications are summarized as follows:
  • A citizen of the United States
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Must be a qualified elector, and a resident of the City of Livingston

Filing fee is $43.20

Primary (if held):   September 10, 2019
Municipal General:   November 5, 2019

April 18, 2019:   First day to File
June 17, 2019:   Filing Deadline
June 17, 2019:   Deadline to Withdraw from Primary Election Candidacy
August 12, 2019:  Deadline to Withdraw from General Election Candidacy

Declaration of Nomination Forms available in the Park County Clerk & Recorder’s Office or on the County's website at: http://www.parkcounty.org/Government-Departments/Clerk-Recorder/ .  Candidates are required to file in the Park County Clerk & Recorder’s Office & within 5 days of filing, candidates must file the appropriate paperwork with the Commissioner of Political Practices in order for their names to appear on the ballot.
