The City Commission approved Ordinance No. 2016 on October 19, 2009, which revised the format of minutes taken at Commission meetings.  The following changes have been made:

• Digital recordings of City Commission meetings have been designated as the official public record of meeting proceedings; these recordings will be available both at the City Office and online.  Recordings will remain online for a year, after which they can be accessed at the City Office.  (Click on the date to the right to listen).

• Written minutes are summary' minutes that can be viewed online or at the City Office, and are meant to be a supplement to the digital recordings.

Additionally, the City Commission has decided to pursue a "Green Screens" proposal, developed by the Administration, which will result in implementation of an electronic packet process for all Commission meetings.  Commissioners will be provided with netbooks and flash drives that will contain packet materials, therefore cutting packet production costs due to the decrease in paper, materials, and labor that print packets require.  Implementation effective January 2010.
