The City Attorney handles both criminal and civil responsibilities for the City. The City Attorney prosecutes misdemeanors criminal actions which occur in the City of Livingston and over which the City Court has jurisdiction. In addition, the City Attorney represents the City in civil proceedings brought by the City or brought against the City, drafts contracts, ordinances and resolutions for the City Commission, and is the chief legal advisor for the City, its officers and employees.
Bruce Becker, a 1976 Graduate from the University of Montana School of Law, has 22 years of legal experience representing local government.
